More than expected. Lots of lookup options.

I was pleasantly surprised by its ease of use and dynamic options. I was quite satisfied for a while, until I started noticing that the displayed results were far from being complete: They fairly regularly were missing some common combinations. Despite this shortcoming, it is still very impressive and user- friendly. It misses far less than I can on my very best days.

Easy to use and I like that I can unscramble two words at the same time.

This is a great app for solving crosswords and other word puzzles and it will also help you create or solve anagrams. However the "anagrams" may not use every letter you entered. It gives you a bunch of words (results include a lot of obscure words and place names— most Ive never heard of) and most of the results will not have used every letter—which is the object of an anagram. Thats a tough order I know, but an improvement would be adding a letter count next to the original and results so you would know right away if all letters were used to make a true anagram.

It does exactly what I was looking for.

I was expecting to be able to put a blank tile in to search for scrabble words with a wild card letter and you can but it will only give results for the max letters - no partial anagrams. And I paid 1.99 for no ads but I still get ads every so often!! Good other than that.

If you want true anagrams, this app will do it. In fact, it has a number of capabilities. I read a review that criticized it for including words that do not use all the submitted letters, which would indeed not be a true anagram. So I was surprised when I used it and only true anagrams were revealed. Upon closer inspection, I learned that this app has several different modes. 1) "Anagrams" will make only true anagrams. 2) "Crosswords" can help solve crossword puzzles by allowing you to indicate missing letters, then finding words that will satisfy the parameters you gave. It even links you to definitions, so you know which word to use. 3) "Sub Words" gives all words that can be made with the word or letters you enter. It begins with true anagrams and works all the way down to two-letter words. 4) "Wildcard" allows you to enter part of a word and it will give you words that use those letters. For example, if you enter "@ard", it will give you "hard", "bard" and "wildcard", etc. 5) "Two Words" allows you to enter a space and it will match words that fit within the spaces. For example, "james bond" will give you "named jobs". To switch modes, swipe the screen to the left or right. It has features that make using some of these modes even easier, such as entering "j9" to get all 9-letter words starting with j. I am a bit of a word nerd, and I think this is a terrific app! Highly recommended!!!

I love this app! I like to play word games but sometimes I end up stumped and super frustrated. This app is the perfect boost to get me back on my game. I love that it will find any word within a set of letters and not just words that use all the letters. Its super easy to use and very helpful

I like word games and occasionally get stumped and need some help to continue. In those rare cases, I turn to Anagram Solver. It works really quickly, provides all useful possibilities, and has a pleasingly minimalist design.

This is a fast and accurate application for turning a collection of letters into words. It is unbelievably speedy. The only way that I can see they could make it better would be if they provided for multiple words from a single source of letters.

Been using this app for a couple of months now and only had one word it couldnt find. Helps me cheat at jumline and text twist. :-)

Great app. Its a go to when I get stuck. Would like it more if it would do complete 3or 4 word phrase.

Quick and thorough, even showing words from the original that dont use all the letters with the omitted letters in parentheses. Wish it could do multiple word answers, but love what it does do.

This app is great. I use it for all kinds of games and puzzles. I especially like that the words are listed by number of letters.

I loaded this app to do some wordplay because the best web-based anagram calculators and generators are clumsy, PC-based POS. This app crashed the first four times I typed in the words to be jumbled. It finally stabilized, but would not generate proper anagrams from all the letters entered in my original entries. Example: I typed in PRESIDENT HILLARY CLINTON, but it only generated anagrams from random letters, as in ANNAL Paula, which makes no sense whatsoever. My advice: HITS NAC this stupid app immediately.

Most words are not accepted on my Word 2 with Friends games There are words accepted in Scrabble that still are not accepted

This app helps me to find new scrabble words.

The names included are a nuisance. Please remove the names. Just valid words please.

You learn so many new words in this game. I have always been fascinated by word meanings and origins. You will enjoy!

couldn’t find the word “maximize”

This is easily my favorite anagram app. There is one tweak I would like to see added to a future version. Consider adding a setting option so the app opens with the cursor already placed in the field where you enter the letters so the user does not have to manually touch the field before typing the letters.

Provides a lot to choose from. It lists a lot of words, but Word Chums doesn’t accept a lot of them.

I have spent most of my life playing with word games. This app keeps the lights on late, way after bedtime!

Simple but effective interface. Please add an option to donate or purchase. So many apps I have paid but their in game ads and pop up’s are endless (looking at you, WWF and Wordscape). Finally an honest app. Folks PLEASE add German dictionary. Replacing an umlaut with an e (ae vs ä) produces invalid results. Do that and it’s perfect. Thank you for this app.

I had another “word finder” app I used when stumped but the ads were terrible and sometimes impossible to exit without closing down the whole app. The ads here are banner and fairly unobtrusive. Very simple and easy to use. Love it!

This app is a lot better than any other apps I have used in the past. When ever I’m stumped, I get to the app and it helps out tremendously! Highly recommend this app!

Love this glitch-less enjoyable game! It makes time fly when you’re commuting. I also love the social aspect of team play. Haven’t met a team member I haven’t liked instantly! Word Nerds unite!!!

I’ve been using this for several months. It does find a lot of anagram words, and has great flexibility to filter results. However, real words are jumbled together with the majority of “finds” that aren’t words at all. It would sure help if these were filtered out - then would probably be 5 star.

It cannot be set to use the same letters more than once and thus misses easy words like: Fanciful from lcnafiu

I'd been using an anagram app for a number of years that is no longer supported on iOS 14 so, in searching for a replacement, stumbled onto this one. It is so much better, I can't believe it! The previous app listed words in random order and I frequently had to watch ads while using it. (Annoyingly, there was no way to purchase an ad-free version.) This app has unobtrusive ads and is highly customizable, allowing you to find words easily. I can't recommend it highly enough. (I'd also recommend turning off ads to support the developer.)

a Very handy and effective aid for anybody who is afflicted with a desire to work out word puzzles. It is handy for finding those, "Oh, yeah!" solutions that may have escaped your attention previously. This receives my highest recommendation.

I am shocked at how many words this anagram finder does not find! Very disappointed. This is definitely not a definitive app!!!

Fun game but occasionally it won’t accept a word that I know is an actual word. Frustrating.

Type in jumbled letters and the result is far too many letter combinations that aren’t words at all - e.g. type in letters and you get 50 results but only 18 words. It’s like you’re daring us to use words to be challenged. It would also be great if you could toggle on/off proper names among the results. (nero, reno, anne, nola, etc.)

Many common three+ letter words are missing from this app’s data store.

I use it mostly to solve a tough anagram word puzzle, and it works famously.

Stellar! Great reference tool. I've been seeking, trying, and using anagram apps since the iPad1. Anagram Solver is incredibly well conceived, designed, and executed. No learning curve. No games. Actively maintained, which is unusual for anagram apps. 😍 This is the best of these apps that I've used, again since iPad1. A full set of highly and easily useful search options. One search box and instructions for each option are visible on one interface/page so you can quickly find which option you want by reading brief simple instructions. No struggles in usability. Many other apps struggle to offer similar multiple search features but they're offerings are limited or too complicated: require memorizing formulas and flipping back to instructions - so extremely tedious! 😬 I'm an avid word game, puzzle player, and word lover. I like Scrabble, crosswords, scrambles, - when I'm practicing, curious, or seriously stuck this app makes takes frustration to fun. I love accessing definitions, wikis, and exporting words. It's a lexicon builder and learning tool supreme. Otherwise it's cheating, but so satisfying! To Dev: big thanks for creating and maintaining a fantastic app.

There is no setting to use all the letters in the original word.

Having an app to use to find words for words with friends, is much better than searching online, it takes less time. However, not all the words it shows can be used in words with friends. And, there are some words that words with friends will use that aren’t on this list.

Crashes, but works well. It does lose what I have been working on when it randomly crashes. Or, it may even just randomly not even save something when I close and open the app right back up, but it’s not that big of a deal. It works well most of the time and serves its purpose.

This is a great app and very helpful. However, it would be very nice if the the words were grouped alphabetically by length.

This app always gives me the solution for single word jumbles and often for multiple words. I watch the leftover letters for a second or even third word.
